Goodbye to my great grandmother who died this week. My mom looked sad when she told me and I can't begin to imagine how my grandmother must feel. Personally I met her only twice and have a very fuzzy memory of her. She was about eight-nine, my mom tells me. She died because she was dealing with age and sickness. She had pancreatic cancer, kidney disease, and other things all on top of one another. A lot of people don't live to be great grandmothers. It's amazing how long she lived, seeing as the smoked through so much of her life. I'm in no need of sympathies, but I think I should post a journal for her, even if I barely knew her. Respect for one of the oldest relatives of mine for me to ever know. But no matter who loves us and no matter how important we are or aren't to the world as a whole, everyone must die. Sometimes when I think about the fact that one day I'm going to end up having half drunk teens daring each other to daring each other to dance on my grave while I'm off to who knows where, I get sad and I have doubts about things. But some say heaven is understanding God and as far as I can tell going to Church is more soothing than anything I can think of. I'm going to be praying Sunday for my great grandmother who is beyond us now, for my grandmother who lives alone--I hope she sleeps peacefully tonight, and for my mother who lost a grandparent. If you wish to, you can pray too. I'm going to pray tonight and the rest of this week. Sorry for the long depressing message. I'm praying for Tori's great grandmother as well. I know it's much harder for you than it is for me, Tori.
